Encourage your child to learn and grow at Studio Dance Centre, where we offer in-person dance classes for children ages 3 and up. From the budding ballerina to the dedicated pre-professional, your child will thrive in our nurturing environment.

MTJGD-Based Written Curriculum
At Studio Dance Centre, our vision is to be a dance studio that empowers young people with grace and gratitude. Our long-term goal is to see our students flourish in life because of what they’ve learned from dance. Meet our dedicated staff members who are ready to help your child succeed.
Ms. Julie is the founder and owner of our dance studio. Her dance education took place across the United States, where she attended programs at North Carolina School of the Arts, the Eglevsky Ballet, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Mid-Pacific Institute, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, and Florida State University.
In 2006, she opened Studio Dance Centre and in 2014 became an affiliate of More Than Just Great Dancing. In addition to her work at our dance studio, Ms. Julie is a MTJGD® -certified coach, offering guidance and support to studio owners and small businesses. She is also the founder of Moonlight Writing, a boutique writing business serving other dance studios, and is a volunteer mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Ms. Kayla is our studio’s director of operations, as well as a dance instructor and performing company director. Kayla grew up dancing in the DFW area, and in the summers, she attended intensives with Texas Ballet Theater, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and the Joffrey Midwest Workshop.
While studying ballet at the University of Oklahoma, she performed with the Oklahoma Festival Ballet in roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Spring Fairy in Cinderella, and the Bluebird Pas de Deux in Sleeping Beauty. Ms. Kayla was also the recipient of the Miguel Terekhov Ballet Choreography Award for her choreography in OU’s Young Choreographer’s Showcase.
After graduating with a BFA in ballet performance and nonprofit organizational studies, she went on to dance professionally with Ballet San Antonio and Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet. She is also a certified barre instructor and teaches at the Frisco location.
Ms. Amanda is our studio’s director of accounts and a dance instructor. She grew up dancing at Toby’s School of Dance in Richardson and became a member of Dallas Black Dance Theatre II in high school.
Ms. Amanda later earned her BFA in contemporary dance and performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In college, she was the recipient of the Jerry Bywaters Cochran Scholarship from the Dance Council of North Texas and spent time in Paris studying choreography under Kazuko Hirabayashi. She also had the privilege of attending the American Dance Festival and the Bates Dance Festival.
After college, Ms. Amanda spent four seasons dancing with Donna Sternberg and Dancers, a professional modern dance company based in Los Angeles. She is also a licensed massage therapist specializing in sports therapy and injury prevention.
Ms. Carla is a dance instructor and customer care assistance at Studio Dance Centre. She grew up dancing in the Dallas area, studied at Collin College, and graduated with a BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University (SHSU). At SHSU, she was the proud recipient of the Kelly Barber Endowed Dance Performance Scholarship.
Ms. Carla recently became a certified instructor for RhythmWorks Integrative Dance and is the coordinator of our studio’s Bravo Program for students with disabilities.
In addition to dance, Ms. Carla has a passion for yoga and wellness and is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and instructor at Fusion Academy in Plano.
Ms. DeeDee is a dance instructor and customer care assistant at our studio. She was our student at our studio for seven years and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
Ms. DeeDee earned her BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University. While in college, she was privileged to perform in works by choreographers such as Robert Battle, Sidra Bell, and Shen Wei and participated in performance opportunities at Dance Gallery Houston, Houston Choreographs x6, and the American College Dance Association.
Ms. DeeDee is also a certified Pilates instructor and teaches at Club Pilates.
Ms. Sarah is the social media coordinator at Studio Dance Centre, as well as a dance instructor. She took her very first dance class at our studio and then danced with us for nine years until she graduated high school.
Ms. Sarah is currently a student at Collin College studying dance and was the proud recipient of the Collin Dance Ensemble Scholarship.
As part of the Ensemble, Ms. Sarah has also had the opportunity to perform at the American College Dance Association Conference and has presented choreography at the dance department’s student showcase. She gained experience in social media marketing through her coursework and social media account management for Collin Dance Ensemble.
Ms. Sarah’s next goal is to transfer to a four-year university to complete her BFA in dance.
